Club Pelican Bay was originally developed by Westinghouse and opened in 1980 as a private club. The members of Club Pelican Bay purchased the club from Westinghouse (then WCI) in 1992. Club Pelican Bay has 27 holes of challenging golf, all designed by Arthur Hills. In 2016 Club Pelican Bay achieved the designation of a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses.
Club Pelican Bay has exceptional dining and a variety of social activities for golfers and non-golfers, Club Pelican Bay strives to excel in delivering golf, dining and social events for the pleasure of its members, their family and their invited guests.
In 2015 the membership voted for the replacement of the clubhouse and cart barn. The state of the art two-story clubhouse will be completed by the end of the Summer in 2017. The new facilities will provide enhanced experiences for its members in social, dining and golf.
In 1991, members of the Club Pelican Bay created the Founders’ Fund to provide financial assistance to young woman and men from Collier County in their pursuit of post high school education. Since its founding over three million dollars have been awarded to more than 600 local high school students.
